Chris has 30 years of experience in the Automotive, Aerospace and Rail Industries, mostly in the Automotive sector. In his early career, Chris spent 7 years with Ford, working in Light Truck Engineering, which was followed by 17 years at Hawtal Whiting and Wagon plc. As Technical Director, he had overall responsibility for development through to production of several projects including a Mazda sports car, a lightweight chassis for Jaguar and the Honda Civic estate car. More recently he was an Associate Director for Arup, which involved a yearlong assignment managing Arup’s office in Detroit, and then Programme Management of two large Aerospace projects. Prior to taking on the role of Programme Director on the t-001 project, Chris was a Senior Programme Manager at Ricardo.

Pete is an experienced Director in both the automotive and clean energy industries, and holds a Master of Engineering degree. He started his career at Deloitte & Touche Consulting before joining the Rover Group in 1995, leading the engineering launch quality of both the Freelander and the Series II Discovery, and responsible for the implementation of Digital Vehicle processes across Land Rover’s Product Development. He moved to McLaren in 2000, and as Executive Product Director was responsible for the design and development of the Mercedes SLR McLaren supercar from concept to launch. From 2006 to 2016, Pete moved into clean energy, first as CEO of Evance Wind Turbines, developing the UK’s best-selling mid-sized turbine, and then as Technical and Operation Director for the UK’s largest solar distributor. He brings a wealth of experience in automotive and high-tech product development in entrepreneurial companies.
David is a highly experienced, professional and conscientious Programme Manager who has successfully implemented major automotive development projects for several automotive OEMs throughout the world, from Formula 1 to single seat electric vehicles. David is an Engineering graduate with a Master’s Degree in Manufacturing Technology and over 30 years of experience in several engineering fields, particularly in Automotive Project and Production Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Component Sourcing, Supplier Selection and Logistics.
David is experienced in multiple Project Management methodologies including: PRINCE 2, GPDS, and NPI. David is a Project Manager with a proven ability to deliver both projects and products, ensuring that the aims, goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with prescribed priorities, targets timescales and funding conditions.
During his 20 years of Programme Management experience in the automotive industry, Paul has held senior roles with several major Tier 1 suppliers delivering Interior and Body programmes to Ford, JLR, Aston Martin, BMW and Bentley. Paul has spent many years coordinating Global Platforms and has extensive experience of working in Russia, China, Thailand, Turkey, India and Mexico, where he developed suppliers and launched new production facilities. Most recently, Paul led a Product Data Management Department for an Engineering Consultancy, implementing improved working methods and systems.
Phill graduated in Engineering Metallurgy from Salford University before joining Land Rover working on the Discovery programme. He then worked on the introduction of Airbag and Safety Systems on Rover and Land Rover programmes. He has extensive experience in Vehicle Safety systems having been Platform Manager at TRW for the McLaren SLR, the Roewe 550/MG for SAIC and Qoros 3 Platform. He is an experienced Programme Manager and has worked in Rail, Aerospace and Automotive sectors. Phill is the Product Data Manager and is responsible for the Product Data across Emerald.
Steve has over 35 years of Project Management experience in the Automotive industry covering Design, Development and Manufacturing. His career started at Ford followed by 19 years at Hawtal Whiting and Wagon plc, where he was responsible for the company’s test and development including passenger cars, heavy and light truck development programmes and more latterly new model production line design and installation for high volume commodity supply. Before joining Emerald, Steve worked for MIRA for 5 years and amongst other projects, led the design of an unmanned ground vehicle that was put into service with the British Army.
