Chris Staunton, Chief Engineer Body Structures

Ian CollinsChris joined Toyota in the UK as part of the graduate programme in 1996. In his 8 years at Toyota, Chris worked as a quality engineer on both series and pre-production programmes, which included extensive time in Japan. In 2004 Chris joined McLaren Automotive at the launch of SLR. In 2010 Chris was appointed Function Group Manager Body Panels and Closures, and successfully led the engineering development and delivery of several top hats including MP4-12C and 12C Spider. Chris led the Body Panels and Closures team from concept through to series production on the 650S and 570S programmes. Chris joined Emerald in 2015 and is leading the team in the creation of vehicles using advanced lightweight materials and joining processes.
